Resize GIF by Exact Pixels
Type the width and height you need in pixels. With the aspect-ratio lock on, changing one side updates the other, so the GIF is never squashed. Turn the lock off when you need an exact box such as 400 × 400, and choose how the animation should fill it:
- Stretch — exactly the size you typed; the image may distort.
- Fit — the whole GIF fits inside, with transparent or colored padding.
- Fill — the box is filled edge to edge and the overflow is cropped from the center.

Animated GIF Resizer — Keeps Frame Delay & Loop
A GIF is more than a stack of pictures. Each frame carries its own delay, the file stores how many times it loops, and optimized GIFs only redraw the parts that change. Many online resizers rebuild the animation with one fixed speed, drop frames to save time, or make play-once GIFs loop forever. This GIF resizer keeps all of it:

FAQ
How do I resize a GIF without losing the animation?
Drop the GIF into the resizer above, type the new width (the height follows automatically) and press Resize GIF. Every frame is decoded, resized and re-encoded, so the result is still an animated GIF with the same number of frames, the same frame delays and the same loop setting.
Will resizing change the speed of my GIF?
No. The delay of each frame is copied exactly — including uneven timing such as a long pause on the last frame. Frames are never dropped or merged, so the resized GIF plays at the same speed and for the same total duration as the original.
Does the resized GIF keep its transparent background?
Yes. Transparent pixels stay transparent, and edges are resampled with premultiplied alpha so you do not get dark halos around the subject. When you use Fit to change the aspect ratio, you can pad with transparency or with a solid color.
Is GIF Resizer free? Do you add a watermark?
It is free, needs no account and never adds a watermark. There are no daily limits — the only limit is what your device can hold in memory.
Are my GIFs uploaded to a server?
No. The GIF is decoded and resized by JavaScript running in your browser tab (in a background worker). The file is never uploaded, which is also why large GIFs start processing instantly.
Why is my resized GIF larger than the original?
Making a GIF bigger adds pixels, and smooth resampling creates in-between colors that compress less well. To get a smaller file, lower the size, choose 128 or 64 colors under Quality, colors & loop, or use Pixel art mode for flat graphics and pixel art, which adds no new colors.
What is the largest GIF I can resize?
Files up to 100 MB and output sizes up to 4096 × 4096 px. Very long GIFs at large sizes need a lot of memory; if a job is too big for your device you will get a clear message and can pick a smaller size.
Can I resize a GIF for a Discord or Slack emoji?
Yes. Open Presets and pick Discord emoji or Slack emoji (128 × 128). The GIF is fitted into the square with transparent padding, and the result shows whether the file is under the platform size limit.
